Dunbeacon is at the northern boundary of the parish. It is the collective term for townlands like Drishane, Cashelfean and Derryfunshion. There is also a church.

DUNBEACON WINS ENDEVOUR AWARD 10/11/10 For the fourth time in Six years Dunbeacon Action group have won the endeavour award in the national tidy towns contest this is a great achievement for this community group and puts them at the top of all cork contestants for continues achievement in there community they had a rise of ten points well done to this group who have put a huge amount of effort in to there work in the past few years well worth a visit, Toormore had an eight point rise which was a great achievement for them Lowertown got a six point rise and are moving up the ladder steadily Goleen recorded a three point rise on this occasion well done to all who took part in this years contest.
